Yard Waste Recycling

We are a licensed compost facility and accept yard waste for a fee. This service is used by many homeowners, landscapers, school districts and even cities on the Island! The yard waste is put through an intense 4 month grinding, cooking, and screening process. The end result is nutrient dense, chemical and weed free, composts and mulches.

We accept anything that grows in nature! That includes grass clippings, leaves, brush, plants, branches, wood chips, weeds and stumps. We cannot accept garbage of any kind, plastics, metals, pressure treated, painted, or stained wood, rocks, sod, or soil. 

First time dumping yard waste at our nursery? It’s easy! When you arrive at the store please come to the office first. An MLN employee will inspect your load and determine the price based on our set rates. We will then show you where to dump and you are on your way! Thank you for choosing to recycle your yard waste.

YARD WASTE DISPOSAL RATES

$1 per bag (paper bags can be recycled, please do not leave plastic bags)

$2 per garbage can

$10MINIMUM on loose loads (small truck)

$10 MINIMUM on loose loads (mid to full size trucks & trailers)

$10 per cubic yard on loose loads

$50 per stump 

$50 per small dump truck (brush)

$100 per normal dump truck (brush)

$200 per 40 Yard End dump (brush)

$300 per 60 Yard End dump (brush)

$400 per 80 Yard End dump (brush)

For a $10 fee we will remove your yard waste out of a truck or trailer with an excavator - time willing.
